Plagiarism Policy
The peer review process plays a vital role in successful scientific research publishing. We promises the transparent and quality peer review process. To assure this IJPDCM has an obligation to assist the scientific community in all aspects of publishing ethics, especially in cases of plagiarism.
What is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism is the “wrongful appropriation” and “stealing and publication” of another author’s “language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions” and the representation of them as one’s own original work. Plagiarism is considered academic dishonesty and a breach of journalistic ethics. It is subject to sanctions like penalties, suspension, and even expulsion.
International Journal of Pandemic, Disaster and Crisis Management (IJPDCM) has a strong plagiarism policy. IJPDCM never accept papers that are derived from another paper while not giving proper reference. All the submitted papers passed through a Plagiarism Policy, at the start it’s checked by a software system later it’s checked by reviewer conjointly.
Plagiarism checking before publication:
IJPDCM checks initial plagiarism using software and handles it as follows:
<10 % Plagiarism: If we find Plagiarism <10% then we activate its paper id and send paper for further processing.
10-30 % Plagiarism: In this case we do not activate paper id and send back to the author for further revision.
>30 % Plagiarism: We reject paper / manuscript straight forward if Plagiarism is more than 30 % and ask author for complete revision of paper and re-submission.
Plagiarism after publication:
If we find Plagiarism in the published content then after verifying the copied content the paper may be retracted.
IJPDCM always recommend checking Plagiarism before submission to the journal and they should not submit the same paper in more than one journal at the same time.
Note for Authors
International Journal of Pandemic, Disaster and Crisis Management (IJPDCM) does not encourage any form of Plagiarism and duplicate submissions. Hence, we strongly recommend our authors to thorough check of the article content before submitting it to our Journal for publication. We request our Authors to use “Plagiarism Checking software’s” to check plagiarism prior to submission as a preliminary step, although they are not completely reliable.
